Sometimes it's hard to get the dust off the sensor with one cleaning. I've cleaned mine once so far, and it still has some dust. I need to get some compressed air so I can recharge my $3 "sensor brush" from walmart and clean the CCD again. ;)Please continue to post your results with that brush. The article you initially referenced was quite interesting. You are the official Dphoto guinea pig for the $3 brush.

The simple reply to this question I could think of is that Dream Act is not meant to benefit Legal immigrants, however Visa recapture will directly benefit all the Employment based legal immigrants.

Why do we need Recapture more than DREAM ACT or with DREAM ACT?

What makes recapture an important issue as mush as DREAM ACT issue?

Is the question asked to me when I communicated with someone in favor of DREAM act. We need good answers when asked this question.

I was looking at posts to respond back and write to all reporters writing on DREAM ACT. Can someone post convincing answers?

Try calling the DOS and explaining then what's going on and see who you can call to check the status next.

The lawyers email is text book response and may not help you much.

If the consulate didn't give you any slip during your interview then most likely it is PIMS related. Call up DOS!

i called DOS again and they say its in the final processing stage at the embassy..check with embassy..and embassy said waiting for information from DOS..i just hope VO doesnt send it back to DOS for more processing again...
how did your wife's PP go ?? any news from embassyy..

this is going to be very subjective. even though there is detail less black in the first one in the nect area i think it "looks" fine. in my opinion there is too much detail less black in the second one, that makes it "look" too dark. also the first one is sooo good there's not much you can do with the second one to bring it to that level. thx, kevin

it was in 2006 quota, got her h1 approval document in november, applied in november second week and by dec 2 week got her ssn.

She was on h4 for the past 3 years and converted to H1 in december officially( as she got her SSN)

Can H4 dependent join college without changing his/her visa status to students visa.

Also what are the implecations for this on the green card process if one is waiting for the PD to be current.
Now the H1 and H4 are decoupled against 6 years limit , one can afford to remain in H4 , people used to get F1 (while on college) only to avoid 6 years limit on H4 , but there are other disadvantages to remain on H4
I dont think there should be any impact on GC process, consult your attorney

I don't know if this is old news but thought of sharing it anyway.

I was in the same boat as many others here i.e, no FP notice even 1yr after filing for 485. With my PD becoming current in Aug 2008, I called my attorney to see if he can do anything to help me out. He told me that due to several complaints from people like us and a law suit threat (or an actual lawsuit, not sure) from AILA, the Texas center has sent has set up an exclusive fax line for such requests. This system came into existence only about 2-3 weeks ago.

He sent a fax on my behalf to that number last Tuesday 7/15/08. My wife and I both received FP notices on Sat 7/19/08! So looks like for a change, something that�s set up for our own good is actually working. Frankly, I hadn�t pinned any hopes on the fax having a positive impact but I was pleasantly surprised. Our appointments are for next week.

Hope this little tip will help others in the same boat if their attorneys are either not aware and/or haven�t told their clients about it.

The fax number is not made available to the general public. Only attorneys have access to it.

BTW: As a result of all this, I haven't seen any LUD changes (soft or hard) on my case status online....I thought that was strange.

What is the fax number?

My case transferred to USCIS local office and below is the case status:
EB 2 Dec 15 2003 - No updates so far
This case has been sent to another office for processing and on September 18, 2009 we sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Took Emirate last month. the overall experience was good. Missed my flight from Dubai as the flight from JFK had to be de-iced. But Emirates arranged for my stay at Dubai and also got me a transit visa... so can't complain :) .

But I last year I flew home by Jet and I thought the service, food, everything about the flight was really good. Would strongly recommend flying by Jet.

If you have an attorney represnted and you ahve signed a G325, you will not get the RFE your lawyer rather would get it...

This is correct. Only your attorney will get the RFE.

Was just going back down memory lane...

In the 80's - most of 90's, traveling to the US (as a visitor) was so off limits; not because of visa issues or that there wasn't someone to visit here, but for the simple reason that middle class or even upper middle class in India just couldn't afford or justify the expense. Those were the days when highly educated people, having a very stable income source used to feel proud that they have booked a Bajaj scooter (delivery would take years!). Owning a color TV was remarkable, traveling to a foreign country was just unfathomable!

So much has changed in these past 10-15 years!

Only problem with H4 is they cnt get OPT after finishing the degree. Also they cant get any job on campus like F1's can.
