I am having the same issue.Applied AP online on 1/10/11.Got receipt no and Application as PDF.I have the Receipt no and sent all supporting document with LINXXXXXXXX no.But I have been trying to add the case no to my profile and it says not found.I am not sure what can I do or wait for more days.

No its not true.
Please do not rely on Indian Media for immigration news.
They have covered their bases by putting "May" in the headline. "May" increase visas.
There is already a discussion that happened about this on another thread. Please search the forums for the article before starting a new thread.
And for heaven's sake, please dont look for immigration related news in Indian Newspapers. They dont know that congress has two chambers : House and Senate. And they dont know the common basics of legislative process in USA.

Use the AR 11 online process to change address do it seperately for yourself and your wife. When you have finished submitting new address the system will prompt you asking if you have any pending applications with USCIS. At that time enter the receipt numbers of all pending applications. This will do the needful. You can track the success by checking the case status in few days you can see a soft LUD on your pending applications. Also in few weeks you will receive a letter from USCIS at your new address that tells that they have updated the address. Some folks even call USCIS and verify the address change.

Hi There,
If My Project with company "A" is over and they are sending me back to india, but before going back i file transfer with company "B", once "B" gets the approval i can come back.
Can it be done this way?? i mean after transfer is filed can anyone go back to india or He/she has to be in US during this period??

Try searching for any information with h1b, h4, Green Card, I-485, I140, citizenship etc, and the engine should give you a better result.

Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics professor and says,
"I don't understand this stimulus bill. Can you explain it to me?"
The professor replied, "I don't have any time to explain it at my office, but if you come over to my house on Saturday and help me with my weekend project, I'll be glad to explain it to you." The student agreed.
At the agreed-upon time, the student showed up at the professor's house. The professor stated that the weekend project involved his backyard pool.
They both went out back to the pool, and the professor handed the student a bucket. Demonstrating with his own bucket, the professor said, "First, go over to the deep end, and fill your bucket with as much water as you can." The student did as he was instructed.
The professor then continued, "Follow me over to the shallow end, and then dump all the water from your bucket into it." The student was naturally confused, but did as he was told.
The professor then explained they were going to do this many more times, and began walking back to the deep end of the pool.
The confused student asked, "Excuse me, but why are we doing this?"
The professor matter-of-factly stated that he was trying to make the shallow end much deeper.
The student didn't think the economics professor was serious, but figured that he would find out the real story soon enough.
However, after the 6th trip between the shallow end and the deep end, the student began to become worried that his economics professor had gone mad. The student finally replied, "All we're doing is wasting valuable time and effort on unproductive pursuits. Even worse, when this process is all over, everything will be at the same level it was before, so all you'll really have accomplished is the destruction of what could have been truly productive action!"

Please let me know what could be the problem. On Apr25, my status changed to Case Received and Pending. Last Updated Date is 05/18.
When i contacted my employer, he says my petition is approved. But still when i find the status online, it's not reflected.
What could be the problem?
Any thoughts would be highly aprpeciated.

Yes. One envelop for AP and the other one for EAD. Put both envelops in Fedex envelop.

what is new about what is being said in this article? We all know that bill is unlikely this year. Bush does not have a control over what happens in Congress. Wife and I applied for our 485 on june 16th 2007 and we got our receipt numbers and did our biometrics on August 1st. As of yesterday I got my EAD card. My wife has not. Is that common or is this something I need to be worried about. If anyone has any knowledge, please let me know. I checked USCIS where i have an online account and have registered all the receipt numbers, for her it says it's still pending.

For your condition, I believe for #15 is AOS pending .. you will lose your H1/H4 status when you entered using AP.
not sure about #14, I think it's PAROLEE.
